Idea Exchange: A collapsible playpen serves as a good surgery recovery area

We place animals recovering from surgery in a rectangular playpen in the treatment room. To ensure that the animals stay warm and are cushioned, we cut a piece of egg crate mattress to fit the playpen and put a soft blanket on top of it. The playpen allows animals to recover in a safe and accessible environment under the watchful eyes of staff members, and it folds up for easy storage.
