TOPEKA, KAN.—Hill's® Pet Nutrition Inc. introduces Prescription Diet® Canine j/d™ pet food, clinically proven to reduce pain and improve mobility in dogs with osteoarthritis, the company says.
Prescription Diet j/d, a veterinary exclusive therapeutic pet food for dogs with arthritis, will be available in dry and canned formulas this month.
"Prescription Diet j/d contains the highest levels of Omega 3 fatty acids and the lowest Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty-acid ratio among therapeutic foods for dogs with arthritis," says Dr. Phil Toll, associate director of nutrition technology at the Hill's Pet Nutrition.
Prescription Diet Canine j/d contains added glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate, and L-carnitine to help maintain optimum body weight in dogs avoiding additional stress on bones and joints.
