GDS introduces new radiation detection device for clinics

IRVINE,CALIF.—Global Dosimetry Solution's Film Dosimeters provide veterinarians and technicians with accurate personnel detection of radiation exposure from using diagnostic X-ray equipment.

Badges are slim and can be used on the body or used for monitoring in a certain area.

The film packet is sealed top shield the sensitive material from light-induced exposure, the company says.

Processed film is archived by GDS and is accessible anytime for re-evaluation or to document the radiological safety in the veterinary office.

Film dosimeters are preferred by the veterinary community due to the archival quality of the developed exposure image as compared to other dosimeter technologies that retain only a glow curve graph, the company says.

Badges are available in five different colors and can be worn on the chest or wrist.
