(formerly Cook Veterinary Products) has made improvements to its line of Clearview Foley catheters and nasogastric feeding tubes.The Clearview catheters are fully autoclavable, radiopaque and atraumatic and, being silicone, will not cause the same irritation as similar red rubber products.The Clearview Foley catheters have added features such as being color coded for each size and a ribbed balloon to allow even inflation. As with the original Global/Cook Foley catheters, a wide range of sizes are available. Foley catheters and nasogastric feeding tubes as small as 5 French will aid the veterinarian in the catheterization of the smallest patients, the company says.Clearview catheters are available in 12- and 22-inch lengths and in longer lengths for the larger diameter catheters.
