Fetch by the Dodo launches predictive health platform

September 12, 2022

Fetch Forward will provide personalized and newly uncovered health insights for dog parents

Fetch by the Dodo announced it will launch Fetch Forward, a predictive health care platform for pets. According to an organizational release,1 the Fetch Health Report will provide every dog parent that signs up the ability to understand the trajectory of their dog’s health and health outcomes.

“Fetch Forward empowers pet parents to take control of the health and wellbeing of their pets like never before," expressed Paul Guyardo, president and CEO of Fetch, in the release.1 "It packs a lot of power into a user-friendly interface to help adoring pet parents give their pets happier, healthier, and longer lives."

Pet owners will share details of their dogs such as age, breed, and zip code. Then, the information is processed through Fetch by the Dodo’s patent-pending computational model to create a report that identifies what the patient is most likely to have at every stage of life. The platform will also provide evidence-based recommendations to help proactively manage or prevent short- and long-term risks that the platform uncovers

The program will give dog parents the chance to understand health conditions on a deeper level and receive access to potentially life-saving health information such as those of underrepresented breeds.

"Fetch Forward brings together vet medicine and advanced data science in a fundamentally new way," said Audrey Ruple, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVPM, MRCVS, associate professor of Veterinary Medicine and Quantitative Epidemiology at Virginia Tech, who has partnered with the Fetch team to build Fetch Forward, in the release.1 "As a veterinarian researcher whose mission is to increase the longevity and quality of our pets' lives, I see Fetch Forward as a breakthrough moment, and the Fetch Health Report is an incredible introduction to the platform."

For any pet parent at your practice interested in joining the waitlist for early Fetch Health Report Access, they can sign up on the Fetch website.
