Buffalo, N.Y.
-- Potential Salmonella contamination has prompted Feline's Pride to expand an existing recall of its raw food with ground bone for cats and kittens.
Buyers of the uncoded containers of 2.5-pound bags of Natural Chicken Formula produced June 10, 2010, should dispose of the product. The recall now includes product shipped between June 21 and June 26.
The company and U.S. Food and Drug Administration are investigating the cause of the Salmonella contamination, but reports of illness have been linked to the food so far.
