Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. introduces the CardioStore, a hand-held battery operated device that simultaneously monitors and records a patients ECG. Using standard plug-in RAM cards, a patients ECG can be digitally recorded and stored. It may be replayed either to a standard ECG machine or uploaded to a personal computer for editing and printing. A standard RAM card allows recording up to 20 minutes for a full diagnostic quality ECG. This time may be extended indefinitely by using larger capacity RAM cards or multiple RAM cards, the company says.CardioStore uses the latest in NIMh battery technology to give rapid recharging and long operating life, the company adds.
