dvm360 seeks 2026 Veterinary Heroes nominations

Kansas City

The program recognizes individuals who have excelled in their professional roles and influenced the broader veterinary community.

dvm360® is continuing to seek nominations for the sixth annual Veterinary Heroes awards program. Veterinary professionals are encouraged to nominate veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers, client service representatives, and veterinary support staff by April 30, 2026.

The Veterinary Heroes program is preparing to again recognize individuals who have excelled in their professional roles and influenced the broader veterinary community. These heroes are celebrated for their unwavering commitment and extraordinary efforts within the veterinary profession, setting new standards and inspiring others to continue evolving the practice of veterinary care. The program also honors those who have positively affected animal care, demonstrating leadership, expertise, and a commitment to improving the health and well-being of animals.

“The Veterinary Heroes program is more than recognition. It’s a spotlight on the individuals whose compassion, leadership, and innovation are actively moving our profession forward and improving the lives of animals and their owners every single day,” Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, chief veterinary officer for dvm360, said.

The 2026 award categories include the following:

  • Behavior
  • Client Service Representative (sponsored by Nationwide)
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician
  • Dentistry
  • Dermatology
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Feline Medicine
  • General Practitioner
  • Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine, Oncology, and/or Neurology)
  • Lifetime Achievement
  • Nutrition
  • Practice Manager
  • Surgery
  • Veterinary Paraprofessional (noncredentialled support staff)

Since its launch in 2021, the program has recognized clinicians, technicians, managers, and support staff whose work strengthens the profession and improves patient care. Now it’s time to celebrate the next class of Veterinary Heroes.

“As chief veterinary officer, it’s a privilege to celebrate these professionals not just for what they do, but for what they represent: the very best of who we are and who we aspire to be as a profession. I'm looking forward to welcoming the 2026 veterinary heroes class into the dvm360 community,” Christman said.

The next class of Veterinary Heroes program inductees will be celebrated at the 2026 Fetch dvm360 Conference in Kansas City, Missouri. A ceremony in the award recipients’ honor will be held Sunday, August 30, 2026, during lunch and is open to all registered conference attendees.
