An old dust-covered law that banned dog and cat cohabitation was recently lifted in Provo, Utah.
An old dust-covered law that banned dog and cat cohabitation was recently lifted in Provo, Utah. The city council became aware of the ordinance when a family tried to adopt a kitten from the local animal shelter and was turned away because there was already a dog in the household. The solution: The council members voted unanimously to replace "or" with "and" in the city code, meaning residents can now legally own up to two cats and two dogs.
