Dog Food

Hill's introduces a canned-food formulation for Prescription z/d.

Hill's introduces a canned-food formulation for Prescription z/d. The product is the only hydrolyzed protein nutrition in a can.

Veterinarians can use the product to manage a wide range of dermatology patients while meeting clients' preferences.

Prescription Diet z/d has a smooth texture for easier spooning and mixing and is very palatable, the company says.

Prescription Diet z/d contains proteins with less than 3,000 daltons, an amount too small to cause allergic response, the company adds.

The hydrolyzation process uses enzymes to break down proteins so histamines are not released and signs of adverse food reaction were not exhibited.
