Summit Hill Laboratories introduces the Vetroson 426 diode laser. The 30-watt laser offers sufficient power for equine surgery, the company says. The diode lasers are portable, maintenance free and can be used in conjunction with 3-meter endoscopes. The unit has a computer that can be preprogrammed prior to shipment for 16 different procedures. When the veterinarian unpacks the laser, he or she can perform surgery immediately. Once familiar with the laser, the practitioner can adjust the parameters, including watts, pulse or mode.
