Video
Downtown Charlotte, NC

In an interview at Fetch Charlotte, Andrew Rosenberg, DVM, DACVD, explained what the PSPP system is and how to apply it with otitis cases

In an interview at the 2023 Fetch dvm360 Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, faculty member Andrew Rosenberg, DVM, DACVD, president elect of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology, explains how the PSPP system can help to see the bigger picture with ear disease and not only focus on the infection. The PSPP system encourages veterinary professionals to identify all factors present.

The following is a partial transcript of the video.

Andrew Rosenberg, DVM, DACVD: The PSPP system is a system that stands for primary and secondary cases of ear disease and perpetuating and predisposing factors of ear disease. And whenever we're dealing with a patient with otitis, it's really important to make sure we don't just focus on the infection, but that we actually consider all the causes and factors present that are causing that ear disease.
