More than 80 percent of dogs and cats over the age of 4 show signs of oral disease, according to the American Veterinary Dental Society. To combat this problem, during National Pet Dental Health Month, the "Pets Need Dental Care, Too," program sent 25,000 kits to veterinary clinics, containing information on suggested activities, sample forms, and consumer brochures to educate clients on the basics of pet dental health.
