Dechra Veterinary Products announced that it has secured a long-term trademark license and supply agreement with Pharmaderm Animal Health, part of the U.S. commercial division of Altana Inc.

The agreement provides Dechra with exclusive marketing and distribution rights for a range of veterinary licensed ophthalmic, otic and dermatological products and the opportunity to develop new veterinary licenses in the United States.

"We are pleased to be the exclusive marketing partner for Pharmaderm's veterinary licensed products," says Mike Eldred, Dechra's president of U.S. operations. "We will be investing in marketing programs and personnel to support and grow the sales of Animax, Vetro-Max, Muricin, Vetropolycin and other branded products. The Pharmaderm product range now provides Dechra the opportunity to strengthen our profile and brand awareness within the U.S. veterinary market ahead of the launch of our internally developed veterinary products, Vetoryl® (trilostane), Felimazole® (methimazole) and Equidone® (domperidone), which are currently undergoing FDA review."
