Creating & Monitoring a Fluid Plan

There are a number of perfusion parameters to look to when creating a fluid plan, but Backus said many veterinarians fall into the trap of just calculating a fluid rate and not assessing how the patient is responding. If the fluid rate is not doing anything for the patient, then you're missing the point. And if the fluid rate is causing detriment to the patient, then you have huge issues.
