The Milk and Dairy Beef Quality Assurance Center announces an updated "Caring for Dairy Animals" technical guide and self-assessment for the nation's milk producers.

The 48-page guide provides the latest information on subjects such as transportation and handling; facilities and guidelines for sick, hospitalized, non-ambulatory and dead animals.

The manual has been endorsed by organizations including food company groups, meat packers, equipment manufacturers and milk producer organizations.
