Andis Company introduces 3/4-in. and 5/8-in. ceramic blades.
The patent-pending ceramic cutter on the blade is designed by Andis and stays 75 percent cooler than steel blades, the company says.

The ceramic is composed of certified zirconium oxide, a material that is break resistant so blades are less likely to be damaged if dropped when they are changed.
The blades fit all Andis AG, AGC, ACR, AGRC, MGB, MGB2 and Oster A5 models, the company adds.
