PRN Pharmacal introduces IgY Plus, a palatable gel that contains dried hyperimmunized egg product, direct fed microbials, antioxidants and vitamins.
Veterinarians can use Canine IgY Plus to support the digestive system during disturbances of known or unknown etiology and to help puppies bridge the period between natural local immunity and vaccination.
Puppies receiving oral administration of the product when canine parvovirus was present, show a reduced mortality and morbidity rate of 24 percent, the company says.

Canine IgY Plus contains 2 billion CFUs of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bacillus subtilus, Bacillus pumulis and Bifidobacterium bifidum, providing all the benefits of a direct-fed microbial.
Other ingredients include Omega 3 to help enhance the immune system, fructooligosaccharide to help selectively ensure growth of beneficial bacteria and discourage growth of gram-negative bacteria.
The product does not affect chemical composition, activity or efficacy of other drugs administered to dogs or puppies, the company adds.
