KANSAS CITY, MO. — The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) names Robyn Kendrick executive director, effective Jan. 2.

Robyn Kendrick

She replaces retiring Executive Director Charlotte Ronan, who served AAVSB for more than 10 years.

Kendrick comes to the association with more than a decade of experience serving in top-level positions for organizations committed to protecting and serving the public, AAVSB officials say. She most recently worked for the City of Kansas City, Mo., as an executive liaison for Neighborhood and Community Services. She also has been a division manager for Animal Control and the executive director of a non-profit industry-education-government partnership organization.

Kendrick seeks to build a "solid rapport" with AAVSB stakeholders.

"Through this process, I plan to gain an in-depth knowledge of the association so that I am in the best position possible to provide effective leadership as we move ahead," she says.

AAVSB President Dr. Georgie Ludwig, and member of the search committee, notes Kendrick's experience in the hiring decision: "We were gratified to have over 60 applicants for the position and pleased that Robyn accepted our offer. She brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to AAVSB and all of us on the Board of Directors look forward to her leadership."
