Dr. Trout graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1989 and spent two years as a House Officer at the University of Liverpool, before completing residency training in small animal surgery at Tufts University and the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. In 1995, he became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the European College of Veterinary Surgeons and since 1998 he has been a staff surgeon at Angell Memorial.
