Janet E. Steiss, DVM, PhD, PT

Dr. Steiss, DVM, Ph.D., PT, received her DVM degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1975, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Georgia in 1981. She was on faculty at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine until 1999. In 2000, she graduated from the masters level program in physical therapy at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She served on the faculty in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at UAB for an additional year, and is a licensed physical therapist. She is now associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health, Tuskegee University, where she is involved in establishing rehabilitation services and a research program.
